DXPFM-PM-1

Pulse Field Magnetometer for Permanent Magnets

By placing the sample in a periodically decaying uniform external field Ha generated by a solenoid and in a J-coil, the magnetic moment M of Ha and the sample is measured using the induction method, and its average magnetic polarization J' is calculated. Eddy current correction is applied to J'-Ha to obtain J-Ha, followed by automatic demagnetization correction, to obtain the J-H hysteresis loop of the material's DC magnetic polarization with respect to a DC magnetic field.

Product Features

  • The pulsed field solenoid provides a pulsed magnetic field of no less than 8500 kA/m, meeting the measurement requirements of rare-earth permanent magnets with high intrinsic coercivity;
  • To ensure demagnetization correction requirements, this instrument is designed to ensure Ha uniformity within 0.1% in the sample;
  • The pulsed magnet is cooled by oil cooling, ensuring long-term use during testing;
  • The magnetic field at the center is measured using a Rogowsky coil fitted onto the solenoid leads, and the magnetic moment of samples of different sizes and shapes is measured using a specially designed J coil. The flux sensitivity of both is calibrated to an accuracy of 0.3%, allowing for reasonable correction of the J-Ha hysteresis loop to J-H using a magnetometer demagnetization factor Nm calculated to be better than 0.1% after appropriate eddy current correction;
  • J coils of different specifications can be designed to meet industrial-grade measurements of magnetic tiles, magnetic rings, blocks, and other devices of different sizes.
